The Ohio State University has a pretty tight grasp on the campus Wifi, requiring a client for desktop operating systems and special instructions for any mobile device. However, the documentation on how to connect a Kindle Fire to the ‘osuwireless’ network is nonexistent. Connecting to the OSU network is actually extremely easy on the Kindle Fire but you may overlook or be unsure of what information to add so here is a step by step list on how to do it. 1.) Pull up the list of of Wifi networks on your Kindle Fire 2.) Long press ‘osuwireless’ 3.) This is where you may have gotten confused, make sure all your information matches the following: - EAP Method: “PEAP”
-
Phase 2 authentication: “None”
-

-
User certificate: “(unspecified)”
-
Identity: Your last name and dot number
-
Anonymous Identity: Leave this blank
-
Password: Use the password that you use to log into other university services.
4.) Press “Save” And that’s all there is to it! If you have any other questions and/or comments on this feel free to leave a comment below or contact me through other methods! -Spencer Carli
